Current Status: The small, bright-yellow storefront on Georgia Avenue currently has no seating, but there is a counter holding trays of stews, veggies, and a bunch of jerk chicken. The place prides itself on vegetarian options. The jerk chicken has a little kick but much more on the enjoyable end of the spectrum than the challenging. Caribbean cuisine is having its moment in the sun, and it travels well for days like these when take-out is king. Sunrise is a keeper.
They offer take-out and delivery (Uber, Grubhub, and Door Dash). For take-out call or walk-up.
