In our quest to catalogue great neighborhood wine shops in the District, we turn this week to Union Market.  There are two possibilities here, one inside the main hall and one outside.

• Cordial – (NOTE:  Cordial closed, but another shop, Vitis, has taken its place)

• A. Litteri – Located in a shop south of the main hall, this Italian deli has a surprisingly robust wine selection. No surprise that they do really well on Italian.  But they also carry choices from other regions.  It is not comprehensive, but it is pretty solid.  The guy who ran the wine program recently took over the whole shop.  Large format olive oil also available.

• Grand Cata – The wine shop in Shaw that focuses on Latin American and Iberian wines opened a second spot in La Cosecha, including a bar for tasting.
