Overview:
What if you stuffed a taco full of meat. Added cheese. Fried it on a griddle, then provided a cup of meat broth to dip it into. It would be a dripping, greasy mess of joy. The birria taco took off as a social media virus, and, in D.C., Little Miner Taco was probably the prime instigator with their Birria de Res Quesotacos leading the way. But just because its popular doesn’t mean it is not good! To be honest, the entire menu is an invitation to gluttony: with fries topped with sauces, meats and other goodies: burritos coated in melted cheese: quesadilla daring you to not use a fork and knife; and even ramen in the beef broth. They also have less dramatic conventional “street” tacos.

The core of the business is food trucks taking up strategic spots mostly in the suburbs. This strategy was a result of a covid-era shift. They have one fixed D.C. location in Noma, down a narrow side street. It is for pickup only. You hit the doorbell and wait for them to bring the order to the door. No tables. Thank you very much get back to the office safely.

If you want a proper sit-down spot, they opened a couple in Rockville and Brentwood, but we’ve yet to make the trip to either.
Other Guidance: Corn tortillas make it good for GF. There are a few vegetarian options.
