Overview:
Little Beast is one of those neighborhood spots that we like to flag for those that might be in the area or within ordering distance. It has retained its community focus that Rick Eats DC described as “a rare space of inter-generational commingling that even Norman Rockwell might find a bit schmaltzy.” It has pared down the menu a little from opening, but pizza was always the focus and remains more so.

They offer two types, a traditional Neapolitan or thicker crust Detroit-style. You can get them loaded or sparse. While they may not be as sublime or refined as some other versions around town, they are pretty good and certainly will make a table of eager eaters happy. Pizza is supplemented with sandwiches, salads, and a few other items that have changed over the years.

The restaurant has ample seating inside and out. Be prepared for a stray child to wonder past as they explore and work off energy in a place safe enough for parents to merely keep an eye out. If they are good, cupcakes might be a post-dinner treat.
Other Guidance: Located at street level. GF pizza available. Vegetarians can do well with salads and veggie-topped options, but those on stricter regimes will run into a lot of cheese.
