Overview:
Comet puts out a solid version of individually-sized pizzas, but it is the ambiance as much as the grub that keeps the Chevy Chasers coming back. Neapolitan in size, the crust is on the doughy side with big puffy edges. The ingredients are well-sourced and can change with the seasons. In addition to the traditional options, they offer playful takes like Ca-lamb-ity J’s with housemade lamb sausage, tzatziki, za’atar spice, whipped feta, or Gourd of the Rings with pesto and autumn squash.

Like many a favorite pizza joint, the wings are reportedly very good. They also serve some Italian classics like meatballs, along with roasted vegetables, and several kinds of salads. There is a bar half-way toward the back with a robust range of cocktails available, in addition to beer on tap.
The food and the drink are solid options if you are up this way, but it is the big open space where children and others from the neighborhood gather that make it a local. There are indeed ping-pong tables in the back where the young can play and dates can flirt with each other between serves. The space also hosts bands regularly, and some notables have done gigs there.
So, get a glass of wine, something to snack on, share a few pizzas, and gather around a table with friends or families or family’s of friends.
Other Guidance: It is all located on one ground floor. GF options are available, including pizza, and even Vegans can find something. It should also be noted that they were victims of one of the more notorious conspiracy theories of the last few years, so showing them some love has some extra benefit.
