Breadline has been serving up lunch for years to legion of fans. Located a few blocks from the White House, it has salads, sandwiches and soups. It is open only during the day and only on weekdays. It was founded by legendary baker Mark Furstenberg, now of Bread Furst in Tenleytown. The ingredients are fresh. The bread is baked in-house. There is plenty of space to relax for a few minutes away from the bustle. There is a reason it has been a mainstay for so long.
