Overview:
Tiger Fork does Hong Kong-style Chinese in a big post-industrial space in Blagden Alley. It is good for a date and even better with a group where you can order big and sample. It took us too long to get back, but we have no qualms about keeping it in our dining guide.

Hearty staples like the noodle dish Beef Chow Foon and pork ribs were early winners and continue to anchor the menu. Vegetables, salads, green beans and cauliflower, were standouts on our recent trip. The flavors manage to be interesting and novel yet not far from comfort food. During an early visit the table next to ours had a woman loudly protesting that the head of the whole fish was looking at her – but she still ate well.
The cocktail program is inventive, with a whole category of “medicinal” (which can also taste slightly medicinal), that use Chinese spirits, traditional herbal tonics and tinctures like yin yang huo, red ginseng, passionflower, muira puama, astragalus, ginseng, or guarana seed. Rounding out the beverage list are a few sakes, wines, and beers, as well as more traditional cocktails. The big circular bar as you enter is an inviting watering hole.

Tiger Fork was part of the second wave hitting Blagden Alley, taking over the space held by Rogue 24. It was a hot ticket right out of the gate. Covid and time meant the buzz faded, but returning now it is reminder that it is still a great space, a fun bar, and really good food.
Other Guidance: Located at street level. GF and vegetarians can do alright, though it is a little tougher if you are both.
